Grand Canyon National Park Fly Over + Lake Powell (Part 2)

Flying over the Western Edge of the Grand Canyon — on the Colorado River above and below Glen Canyon Dam — is spectacular. It will get you thinking about how our precious Water resources are used for quite awhile; hopefully forever.

It’s also know as Glen Canyon National Recreation Area — its huge. Enormous. Go there.

I highly recommend cruising in a Houseboat on Lake Powell too ! It’s magnificent. Private beaches with white sand everywhere … for real.

It’s like going to a Lake and a River inside Monument Valley. It is! It’s all the Colorado River. Amazing.

Wait! Go below the huge Glen Canyon Dam and check out Lee’s Ferry at Marble Canyon.

It’s the ‘headwaters’ of the reconfigured Colorado River in the 1970’s. Fabulous fishing and plenty of Outfitters to guide you on a Raft Float Trip deep into the Grand Canyon … oblivion!

Cliff Dwellers Lodge — established in 1920 — is mighty cool. It’s down in the Canyon — on the eastern fringe of the Grand Canyon. https://leesferry.com/cliff-dwellers-lodge/

The entire river float experience is 279 miles of exciting water conditions from Lees Ferry to Lake Mead.

While you’re here, cruise over to Bryce Canyon National Park and Zion National Park. More stunning beauty.
